Halesite is a hamlet and census-designated place in the Town of Huntington on the North Shore of Long Island in Suffolk County, New York, United States. It covers an area of 0.97 square miles, of which 0.89 square miles is land and 0.077 square miles, or 9.41%, is water.

The hamlet sits between the main town of Huntington in the south and Huntington Bay up north. In the northwest of the hamlet is covered by the Huntington Harbor which flows through from the hamlet of Wincoma. Huntington Bay Rd forms a natural border in the east, Bay Rd in the north, Mill Ln & Maple Hill Rd in the south and W Shore Rd in the west.

Several parks and marinas are mostly located around the northwest border surrounding the Huntington Harbor such as Halesite Park, Halesite Marina, Knutson Marine, Mill Dam Marina, Mill Dam Park, Mill Dam Park Field 1 & 3. The Halesite Fire Department can also be found around the same area, only a block away from the Halesite Marina. Nearby popular restaurants namely Gold Coast Deli at 37 W Shore Rd and Il Posto Di Joey at 84 North New York Ave, and Prime at 117 North New York Ave are just among the several restaurants in the hamlet that surround the Huntington Harbor.

The main road that gets you around the hamlet is the New York Ave entering from the south and travels through the commercial area and splits into two roads with one heading towards the east as Young Hills Rd. As for the transportation, a limousine company services the hamlet called Exclusive Transportation Inc located at 149 Huntington Bay Rd.
