Hicksville is a hamlet and census-designated place within the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, New York, United States, on Long Island. It has a total area of 6.8 square miles (18 km2), none of which is water.

NY 106 (Newbridge Road) serves as the main road and passes through the center of the hamlet, it runs north-south and intersects with Northern State Parkway outside of the north boundary. It also serves as the major entry and exit point throughout the hamlet. The main road running west-east direction is the E Old Country Road, which intersects with Wantagh State Parkway in the west boundary. Additionally, Northern State Parkway forms portions of the hamlet’s northern border.

Other major roads within the hamlet include Jerusalem Avenue, Old Country Road, Plainview Road, and South Oyster Bay Road.

Hicksville Gregory Museum at 1 Heitz Pl is just 715.30 meters to the east of Newbridge Road. Other attractions include Long Island Puppet Theatre (adjacent to Hicksville Gregory Museum), Cantiague Park, Cantiague Park Ice Rink, Cpl. Kevin T Kolm Memorial Park, Giese Park, Park & playground, Town of South Oyster Bay Community Park Playground, Levittown Hall, Walker Memorial Field, and Hicksville Garden. Passing through NY 106 is the train track of Hicksville Train Station boarding Montauk, Port Jefferson, and Ronkonkoma. United States Postal Service is located to the west of E John St and Newbridge Road intersection, going further west are Burns Avenue Elementary School, Nassau BOCES Joseph M. Barry Career & Technical Education Center, CRC Preschool – Nassau BOCES, New York Blood Center. Right around Prospect Avenue is the Nassau County Public Safety Center. Schools serving Melville include Hicksville High School, Lee Avenue Elementary School, Fork Lane Elementary School, and Holy Family School. Restaurants along with NY 106 from north to south respectively are Trullo D’Oro, Red Lobster, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Kabul Grill, Fuel Your Body Cafe, Uncle Don’s kitchen and I Am Nacho Mama.

Four state-owned roads pass through the hamlet: New York State Route 106, New York State Route 107, the Northern State Parkway, and the Wantagh State Parkway. Also, Hicksville is a major hub on the Long Island Rail Road, where the Ronkonkoma Branch meets with the Port Jefferson Branch to form the Main Line.
